Abstract Poetry offers the audience an opportunity to participate in a nighttime experience in which text decomposes in space through graphic abstraction and dissolution. This process proposes the reinterpretation of language through its transformation in space and time and the effect that sound adds to the experience, and Ripple, with its already fragmented space, is the perfect environment for this immersive journey.

Pablo Giménez-Zapiola will perform projections in dialogue with artist Carlos Pozo performing sounds. Both artists share an interest in clean simplicity as well as a low key search for beauty and the sublime. Carlos Pozo makes slowly evolving ambient soundscapes using a mix of abstract electronic drones and pulses with melodic loops and field recordings. Though generally working separately, Pozo’s sounds seem to sync uncannily when performed alongside Giménez-Zapiola's projected images.
